Base Qualifications

• A detailed understanding of the protocols surrounding IP service provider networks. These skills should include:
• Detailed technical experience in the installation and operation of IP routers. This includes hands-on operation of management tools and network analyzers.
• Experience with Orchestration frameworks: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Routing protocol (OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP-4) operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms.
• Candidates for this role MUST have a minimum of 7 years’ experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments. Candidates for this role must also have a minimum of 3 years’ experience designing IP networks. Candidates for this role MUST be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure.
• The ability to document test plans, and record results.
• Multicast
• Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Juniper Networks Products.
• The ability to function in a team environment.
• JNCIP/CCNP or higher certification level
• MPLS (RSVP/LDP), VPLS, L2TP, L2VPN, L3VPN, COS, QOS
• IP sub netting and super netting and hierarchical routing principles
• TCP/IP fundamentals
• Understanding of Juniper hardware – e.g., MX, EX, QFX, SRX, PTX
• Self-starter attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and products.
• Switching technologies and firewall technologies as determined by customer requirements.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Experience debugging protocols like (xSTP, LLDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.)
• Routing policies at BGP peering points.
• Logical systems
• Strong Automation/scripting background (Python/Slax)
• The ability to communicate effectively with customer and internally to Juniper.

• Experience in working with multiple operating systems (Mac OS, Linux, Windows, etc.)
• Focal Technologies
• Experience with other vendors is preferred (Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, etc.)
• Experience with Wi-Fi in an enterprise / warehouse environment preferred.
• JNCIE, CCIE a strong plus
• The ideal candidate will have prior experience with scripting or programming languages including Python, SLAX, and NETCONF, and experience with automation frameworks such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or others.
• 7+ years’ experience in managing large technical account activity revolving around network products from multiple vendors.
• Experience setting up Class of Service and troubleshooting CoS issues.
