The SVP of Hotel Operations has their finger on the pulse of what is changing and progressing in our industry, and is driven to blend these best practices into the Makeready Collection while upholding brand integrity and guiding our senior leadership teams.
Requested Responsibilities
- Establishes hotel goals, objectives, and strategic planning and provides direction, guidance, and support to ensure the successful operation of the hotels
- Drive financial performance at all Makeready hotels, helping to drive revenues while operating efficiently
- Ensures that hotels are creating memorable experiences for our guests and team members
- Ensures the maintenance/ sanitation of hotel, hotel facilities, grounds, kitchen, equipment, and related areas
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure great guest experiences by leading, supervising, directing, and developing hotel General Managers
- Key role on Makeready’s Executive Leadership Team
- Provide Leadership and oversight for all hotel openings / transitions
- Create an environment that motivates hotels to collaborate, learn, perform their best, and develop their skills
- Create, develop, and recommend short and long-term hotel planning guidelines and procedures, annual operating budget, and capital budget program that are aligned with Makeready goals, analyzes hotel revenue and labor reports, making strategic adjustments as necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability
- Provide leadership, direction and mentorship to all Makeready Hotel General Managers, Managing Directors, and Area Managing Directors
- Oversee hotels repair and capital improvement budgets, ensure cost effectiveness, forecasts and plans facility improvements
- Develop and oversee comprehensive vendor contracts
- Ensures Makeready’s Brand Integrity and pull through in all Hotel Operations
- Create and implement new innovations to enhance the guest experience based on current trends as well as maintain knowledge of new and evolving technology to ensure hotels are maximizing efficiencies
Requested Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in unbranded hotels or independent properties
- 5+ years of Executive-level corporate leadership in a hotel/hospitality environment
- Must have a proven record of achieving financial objectives, guest / team member engagement, and brand standards
- Must possess a high level of business acumen and be able to drive efficient operations, while pulling through brand strategy
