• Demonstrates a working knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
• Responsible for developing, nurturing and improving a cost-effective operating culture that achieves established objectives.
• Approves and assesses capital equipment needs, space requirements, staffing levels, and other resources needed.
• Assists areas in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• VP-O is accountable and responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining impactful strategic and operational plans to identify and provide for the medical and clinical needs of the areas of responsibility in an efficacious manner, to reduce or mitigate unnecessary redundancy across the organization.
• Ensures facility’s goals, strategies, and services integrate with the organization’s core services, mission, vision, and objectives.
• Must have a working knowledge of healthcare management, legal issues in healthcare, financial, marketing and planning.
• Develops, submits and administers departmental budgets.
• Ability to successfully interact with management and physicians.
• Responsible and accountable for the performance and impact of the appointed areas of responsibility and its respective departmental units.
