Job Description

The Vice President, Telemedicine Operations is responsible for the overall management of Concentra’s Telemedicine program, including business unit financial performance. Lead efforts in identifying, developing, evaluating, prioritizing and executing Concentra’s Telemedicine strategies. This role will be responsible for advancing telemedicine in the occupational medicine market, specifically, driving telemedicine consultations/visits and ensuring a great customer and patient experience. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment and with a cross-functional team that contributes to Concentra’s strategic plan, supporting clinical, operations, reimbursement and legal to deliver business results. A member of the senior leadership team reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer.


Responsibilities


  • Reviews financial statements and activity reports to ensure the telemedicine business objectives are achieved
  • Effectively uses financial information for strategic and operational decision making and participates in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Serves as an internal and external champion of Telemedicine, including frequent interactions with customers and speaking engagements at internal and external conferences
  • Stays current and monitors guidelines related to regulatory, reimbursement, social, economic and political forces which influence telemedicine
  • Responsible for strategic planning, program management, and the implementation of Concentra’s Telemedicine program
  • Evaluates and manages partnerships and collaborations with vendors
  • Develops and maintains quality relationships with external stakeholders in the workers’ compensation ecosystem
  • Collaborates with senior leadership team in setting and driving business vision and operations strategy for Concentra’s telemedicine offering
  • Oversees telemedicine operations ensuring optimal employee productivity, while building an inclusive, accountable culture that ensures high team engagement
  • Monitors and assesses new technologies that may complement existing telemedicine offering to deliver operational efficiency, enhance user experience, or drive visit growth
  • Working closely with National Telemedicine Medical Director, supports the evaluation and implementation of Telemedicine enabled models of care across Concentra’s medical practice
  • Monitors and communicates insights into expectations, unmet needs, preferences, motivations, and trends of patients, employers, payers and policy makers and translates insights into meaningful business opportunities.
  • Directs, plans and implements policies to ensure delivery of programs in accordance with strategic objectives of Concentra and in compliance with national, state and local business regulations
  • Monitors marketplace trends and gathers competitive intelligence. Possesses a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment, specifically telemedicine and keeps current on industry developments
  • Understand and leverage internal data to support critical team functions and telemedicine deployment

Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree


Major: Business, Science and/or related field


Degree must be from an accredited college or university.


Job-Related Skills/Competencies


Customarily has at least the following experience:


10 or more years

  • Demonstrated general knowledge of Care delivery, billing, case management, network applications and state regulation standards within the Occupational Healthcare industry.

  • 10+ years healthcare experience
  • Financial analysis and visit trend review skills
  • Experience in worker’s compensation industry preferred
  • Experience in implementation and evaluation of Telemedicine projects preferred
  • Ability to convert strategic goals and objectives into plans and programs
  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to be investigative and results/solution oriented
