Job Description

The Vice President of Electric Utility Operations will develop, plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee business operations and client management activities across the company’s Power Delivery and EI&C businesses including Substation, Transmission, Distribution, & Telecom, ensuring development of business, identification of new business opportunities, client development, proposals, contract management, service agreements, project execution/management and turning emerging business opportunities to established business operations.This position will preferably be based in Denver, CO. This position will require 25%-50% travel.Relocation packages will be considered.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·TBD by the VP of EUO as part of the development plan, mid-level managers will be identified to execute.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·All business operations for Power Delivery and EI&C

·Leads client management activities across Power Delivery and EI&C

·Leads the management and coordination of active pursuits (proposals) and marketing campaigns for Power Delivery and EI&C

·Prepares proposal management plans

·Leads Power Delivery and EI&C proposals, ensuring new proposals are in alignment with company goals while meeting profitability metrics

·Develops strategies to identify and secure new opportunities with Power Delivery and EI&C

·Assists in creation of marketing content and campaigns for Power Delivery and EI&C

·Manage financial goals and business opportunities across Power Delivery and EI&C

·Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations, programs, and projects

·Collaborates with regional directors to carry out the region’s goals and objectives

·Ensures that workstream decisions and project/program plans such as those for staffing, development, and organization are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.

·Reviews and approves proposal, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for Power Delivery and EI&C programs and projects

·Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the President and other leadership

·Supports the identification of training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided

·Performs other related duties as assigned

·A target of 50% level of billability is required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Strong supervisory and leadership skills

·Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry

·Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other industry-related field required

·At least fifteen (15) years of industry-related experience including five (5) years in senior management required and three (3) years in business development required

·Must have experience in business development and in the management of proposals and marketing efforts

·MBA or equivalent experience preferred

·Prior business experience in working with utilities as a consulting engineer is preferred.


Salary- $180-$250K
