Position Summary
The Vice President of Portfolio Operations will both manage the day-to-day relationships with CQuence portfolio companies and support the operations of new holdings. This work involves both understanding the businesses strategy and operations, as well as coordinating how the portfolio works with our professional services teams. In this critical role you will oversee and optimize our investment relationships with a specific focus on operational accountability. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance partner satisfaction, streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies. This leadership position requires strong business acumen, excellent communications skills and a deep understanding of partner needs and performance measures with the goal of enhancing their business.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with professional service teams to align strategies, identify opportunities, and drive partner growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all partners, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with our professional services.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Implement processes and systems to capture partner feedback, measure satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Identify and implement best practices for operational efficiency, quality control, and risk mitigation.
  • Holdings Operations Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the firm's overall goals and objectives for new holdings.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize resource allocation, and enhance service delivery.

  • Define key performance indicators for investment/professional services partners and establish metrics to monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics to the CQuence Executive Team, as appropriate.

  • Act as a liaison between partner-facing teams and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and addressing operational challenges.

    • Collaborate with internal Professional Services leadership, other functional teams to ensure effective coordination and alignment of professional services initiatives, bringing in the CEO as needed to drive progress and overcome hurdles.

Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
