This role will work closely with the VPs of Identity Platform, Sales Technology and Marketing Technology Platforms and the Common Platforms Business Operations Office to lead Business Operations, Planning and OKR management for the Identity, Sales Technology and Marketing Technology Platform organizations.
• This position will partner with the Identity, Sales Technology and Marketing Technology teams, to develop their operating rhythms, and liaise with leaders on all aspects of day-to-day business operations, including workforce management, financial governance, investment decisioning, program management, communications, stakeholder engagement and employee engagement.
• The Sr. Manager of Strategy & Business Operations promotes solid execution and fact-based decision-making across the organization; acting as the ‘connective tissue’ that links all aspects of the organization seamlessly. The position will ensure our operating model, OKR’s, investment plan and portfolio are designed and implemented to deliver against the defined strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Initiative Management: Act as the escalation point and ‘air traffic control’ across domains to manage the integrated governance, risk management and strategic alignment for the most important initiatives.
- Planning and Portfolio Management: Guide the strategic direction and support quarterly planning, resource allocation process, value realization, and standards Planning & Portfolio Management processes across Identity, Sales Technology and Marketing Technology Platforms.
- Operating rhythms and routines: Manage operating routines that facilitate decision-making, autonomy, leadership alignment, and team engagement, inclusive of staff meetings, operational reviews, leadership off sites, All Hands, etc. Set the agenda, participate in the meetings, document decisions, and communicate outcomes.
- Outcome and metrics tracking/reporting: Work closely with leaders across the organization to develop goals and Objectives and Key Results; develop systems for managing performance against those goals. Ensure that our key efforts and initiatives are aligned to our strategic priorities.
- Strategic thinker: Bring outside-in thinking to the organization, highlighting industry trends that should be considered and evaluated.
- Leadership extension to the Business Operations community: Act as an extension to the VPs of Identity, Sales Technology and Marketing Technology in managing relationships with the key leaders. Ensure bi-directional accountability on driving closure on requests and activities across the Business Operations scope: communications, finance and budget management, workforce management, vendor management, training and development, engagement and culture, and events management.
- Special project planning and execution: Serve as on-the-ground execution for a wide variety of cross-functional projects for the leadership team. Ability to navigate internal networks and build internal consensus is important.
- Innovative process improvement and effectiveness: Identifying gaps or improvements, designing proposed changes, socializing with leadership, and developing policies and/or processes necessary to implement decisions made by the leadership team.
The ideal candidate has proven experience working closely with executives, in a fast-paced environment; applying strong consultative skills, including business acumen, customer empathy, and the ability to influence and partner. This person thrives in a dynamic, global, fluid, matrix environment and is results focused. Is comfortable leading from both the front and the rear, as situations dictate. History in communications, business & strategy development preferred.
