Strategy and Business Operations Manager


One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Strategy and Business Operations Manager. The Client’s product portfolio provides the foundations for team collaboration and productivity, and through rich integrations with leading SaaS vendors and 3rd party apps, teams can streamline their work, automate tedious tasks, and connect in real-time on critical issues.


The Client is seeking a Strategy and Business Operations Manager who will partner directly with leaders in our Experience Platform organization - that is, the teams responsible for client’s set of cross-cutting user experiences that differentiate and make client products greater than the sum of their parts. You are a good fit if you are driven, highly organized, analytical and have strong business acumen. At client, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company. The team takes a lead role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and impactful recommendations to business partners.


In this role, you'll get to:


  • Define appropriate goals/OKRs to track progress against strategic objectives
  • Partner directly with product and go-to-market teams to support the delivery of strategic recommendations and analyses
  • Drive and influence the long-term vision for client’s user-facing platform capabilities
  • Build financial and analytical models to identify measurable insights, exercise sound business judgement, and develop recommendations to influence and drive consensus across functional leaders
  • Keep a tight pulse on business performance and reporting, including "quarterbacking" a cross-functional team to diagnose problems when they occur


On your first day, we'll expect you to have:


  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills,strong with executive communications
  • It's great, but not required of you to have: Industry experience in SaaS or platform business models
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to business case development/strategic recommendations from end-to-end, some management consulting a plus
  • Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau), no development just consuming Tableau
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and building revenue and cost drivers using Excel, some investment banking a plus
  • Experience using SQL for analysis a plus
  • Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative customer or market research
  • 3-5 years experience in corporate strategy, product/platform strategy, strategic finance, or similar, and have a foundational understanding of platform and SaaS business models


Duration: till end of November to start, plus extension and contract to hire possibilities

Location: 100% remote but must live in PST or MST time zone preferred

Compensation: $50-58 hour DOE
