Job Description
Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Head of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Manager contributes to the success of the business by providing support in all areas of HR including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, training & development, employment cycle changes, talent management, and retention/engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support and guidance to managers and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversees the benefits administration and reporting including enrolling new hires, responding to inquiries, and providing employee support as needed.
  • Partners with the local leadership team to understand and execute the company’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manages the local talent acquisition function, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficiency with Paycor or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS systems.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven project and time management skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Degree in an unrelated field plus a SHRM-CP, SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 2-3 yrs. in a Sr. HRBP or HR Manager role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldor
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
