Job Description

Job Purpose: The HR Generalist serves as the primary HR point of contact for all general inquiries and employee questions. This role oversees and administers leave requests and accommodations particularly those that fall under FMLA, ADA, and short-term or long-term disability. The HR Generalist receives and processes accident reports and workers’ compensation claims. This position is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, helping guide employees through human resources procedures and answering questions about company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HRIS maintenance
  • Responsible for complying with the federal & state labor law posting requirements
  • Perform Onboarding and Offboarding duties as assigned
  • Send out new hire benefits enrollment email & reminders to ensure applicable employees are completing benefit enrollment within their 30-day window
  • Support and assist HRBP and SVP of HR with projects as needed
  • Process employee qualifying events and collect documentation
  • I-9/E-Verify
  • Assist employees with leave requests (FMLA, Medical Leave, STD, LTD)
  • Update employee 401k contribution changes in HRIS and ensure changes are processed accordingly in payroll
  • Administer leave requests ensuring federal and state law compliance
  • Process Workers’ Compensation Claims
  • Manage incoming questions from the team via HR inbox
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Reset employee passwords in HRIS
  • Review weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for changes to insurance premiums/payroll deductions

Experience & Requirements:

  • 2-4+ years previous professional experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, while exploring innovative solutions and driving business impact

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • SHRM certification a plus, not required
  • High School Diploma Required; Bachelors Degree preferred
