Job Description

Human Resources Specialist


We are a private holding company with specialty firms in content development, marketing technology and strategic services. We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to add to our team. The HR Specialist supports the HR Team and makes a lasting impression with our candidates and staff by providing first class customer service. Responsibilities

  • Perform data reporting and budget reconciliation.
  • Assist with the seasonal Internship Programs.
  • Provide exceptional employee service and support by responding timely and accurately to general employee questions and requests.
  • Collect and monitor employee forms and documents to ensure accurate and timely entry for payroll, benefits and other coordinating departments and systems.
  • Manage the recruiting process by working collaboratively with hiring managers by posting, screening, scheduling, and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Assist with employee lifecycle processes related, but not limited, to, new employee onboarding, conducting reference and background checks, and making E-Verify submissions.
  • Work with other teams to help, drive company-wide HR initiatives (talent management, organizational development, learning)
  • Drive process excellence by continuously looking for opportunities to operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with employee exits as needed and analyze exit interview data to shape recommendations around programs to drive retention and engagement.
  • Support human resources with the planning, communicating and tracking of company-wide initiatives and objectives throughout the year.
  • Prepare and maintain various human resources records, including employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially of information (i.e., new hire paperwork, I-9s, tax forms).
  • Track and maintain HR inventory (i.e., employee forms, orientation materials, employee welcome bag).
  • Handle and support additional projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Can demonstrate the ability to exercise a high degree of discretion when discussing sensitive information, such as employee records or company policy changes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, follow-up, and ability to set and accomplish deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • 2-5 years HR experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet-based applications.
