Job Description

One of Sequoia's portfolio companies is looking a Product Marketing Manager. The Product Manager will responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to understand user behaviour for a specific product or set of products within a company. The main objective of this role will be to increase conversion for marketing campaigns by aligning the messaging across websites, promotional campaigns, etc to customer's needs.


Responsibilities:

Broadly, you will bring value to all four levels of customer journey-


  • Conversion: Converting potential customers into paying customers by improving messaging on website, LPs, ad copy, etc
  • Acquisition: Bringing awareness to your product through content such as social media, copywriting, and blogs. Deciding the type of campaign needs to be done, create a budget for the marketing endeavors, craft a project plan to map out when this content will be released, and oversee a team who will create the desired content
  • Retention and Expansion: Keeping existing customers loyal through ensuring they're getting what they want in terms of product features, as well as value
  • Engagement: Building trust and creating conversation with potential customers through events, and campaigns (email, video, etc)


More specifically:

  • Create sales collateral and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects & customers through the sales cycle
  • Improve and measure customer satisfaction- G2, Capterra, testimonials, NPS survey, etc
  • Conduct market analysis to obtain understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators
  • Work with Customer Success team, and customers, to collate, analyze and document customer's ROI metrics, and publish case-studies
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product.
  • Join sales, customers on calls when appropriate to learn deeper insights about customer's needs and pass the knowledge to the product team.
  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits
  • Create marketing collateral (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, ) that articulate the value of Gan.ai products to the prospective customers, internal stakeholders that consume this content
  • Track, analyze and report key performance metrics such as product adoption, revenue growth, customer retention, and customer satisfaction, and using data insights to optimize marketing and sales strategies.
  • Work closely with sales and product teams to develop strategy around pricing models, key messaging, and value proposition
  • At the scale-up stage, lead a small team of product marketing specialists; establish individual and team metrics and report on success


Requirements:

  • Advanced competency in researching market trends and consumer behavior
  • Ability to develop strong customer relations and feedback channels
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of consumer behavior sciences and marketing strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams such as product, sales, and customer success
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior product marketing manager in a fast-growing software/ SaaS company
  • Exceptional ability to increase competitiveness and market share


Strong preference to

  • Candidate that has led/ contributed to product marketing in the 0 to $5M phase of a tech company
  • Candidate that comes from related industry- Generative AI, MarTech products for B2C companies
