How can you make an impact?
McGraw Hill Higher Education is looking for a Portfolio Director to join its product organization and lead the strategy for the Life, Geo & Health Sciences and Engineering, Computer and Physical Sciences portfolios. In this role, you will be leading a team of Portfolio Managers through effective hiring, onboarding, and ongoing management. You will establish the overall strategic vision for the assigned disciplines and ensure the successful development and execution of portfolio strategy.
This role is open to remote candidates located within the United States and will report to the Vice President of Portfolio. Candidates will work from a remote office and are expected to travel 25 to 50 percent throughout the year for team and business events.
What you will be doing:

• You will be responsible for delivering strong financial results including achieving revenue targets, managing expenses, allocating resources, and optimizing personnel.
• You will drive growth by setting the strategic vision and measurable goals for given portfolios.
• You will work cross functionally both within the organization and with our external authors and partners to promote consistency, efficiency and innovation.
• You will recruit, hire, and develop future leaders in the organization.
• You will foster a culture of innovation that produces products that make a demonstrable difference in the lives of students, faculty and administrators.

• Bachelors degree required
• Creative thinking, thoughtful communication, and strong problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead others
• Five or more years of experience in higher education portfolio, sales, or marketing

The pay range for this position is between $115,000 - $150,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
