Product Management Consultant I-Ii

Job Summary:

The Preferred Product Management Consultant I supports product line launches and implementation in new states and markets including product strategies, rate revisions, new product development, and process improvements. This role also assists with management of existing products to maintain target profitability metrics. More experienced candidates may be hired as a Preferred Product Management Consultant II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generates monthly reports and exhibits reflecting growth, retention, and profitability metrics
• Begins to identify opportunities to improve product strategies, business productivity or service to our agents and customers, recommends solution alternatives, and coordinates with other areas to implement improvements
• Performs industry level research and monitors competitor filing activity within assigned region
• Researches production issues, provides solutions, and tracks and monitors progress on any IT fixes needed for issue resolution
• Acts as liaison between PM and IT & Testers/Business Analysts for product initiatives
• Assists in development of new products by helping perform compliance review, competitive analysis and building supporting data analysis/exhibits
• Works closely with product manager to implement rating plan enhancements and coordinate various state filings
• Begins to build high level IT requirements as needed and provides feedback and support on requirement creation
• Researches, analyzes, and reports upon insurance data using SQL and other data analysis tools
• Begins to lead initiatives for the business and coordinates with IT in leading product line initiatives including plan development, scheduling, and coordinating team member deliverables, and monitoring implementation
• Collaborates closely with project implementation team and other internal departments to ensure accurate implementation of various projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 2 or more years of related experience preferably with NGIC

Functional Skills

• Familiarity with other programming languages and willingness to learn SQL
• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• In-depth knowledge of NPS system
• Ability to learn new applications and systems and process complex data from multiple sources
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

The base range offered for the role is: $52,500 - $68,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
