Job Description
WE ARE

We are Black Rifle Coffee Company, a veteran-founded company serving premium coffee to people who love America. We have a passion for coffee, the veteran community, dogs, the outdoors... in short, if it makes our country awesome, then we love it. Our customers always come first, because without them we would have nothing. They have our eternal gratitude for that. We sell awesome coffee and make goofy videos, but the beating heart of Black Rifle Coffee is really in giving back — it's about serving those who serve us. That means supporting the military, veteran, and first responder communities in the ways we know best. As far as the folks who work here, we value integrity, innovation, radical transparency, a crazy good work ethic, and a deep love for our country and each other.

Reporting to the Food Safety and Quality Director, the Product Lifecycle and Regulatory Compliance Manager will own several functions related to the specification data quality, regulatory compliance, and change management of Black Rifle Coffee Company products. The most immediate role of this position will be to lead the implementation and maintenance of the Black Rifle Coffee Company Product Specification System.

This includes developing an implementation timeline, creating specification configurations, collaborating with vendors, and overall managing the scope and direction of the project. As part of this project, this position will work closely with and influence a cross functional team to elicit significant organizational data management changes. Once the specification system project has been executed, the Product Lifecycle Manager will act as the company specification system lead and initiate further product lifecycle improvement projects. This position will also assure compliance with North American finished product labeling regulations during the product development process from product labeling creation through final packaging approval.

  • Improve processes and ways of working within specifications management internally and externally.
  • Assess ongoing vendor compliance with specification requirements.
  • Lead Black Rifle Coffee Company specification system integration project.
  • Govern and maintain label claims and certification programs.
  • Stay abreast of, and ensure company product compliance with, applicable North American labeling regulations.

Your Experience

  • Clear understanding of the end-to-end product development process related to R&D, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Experience with product claim substantiation analysis for labels, advertising, and other promotional materials.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Regulatory Science, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline preferred.
  • Effectively work across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant food industry project management experience.
