Job Description

Position Overview:

As an Ex. Career Management Consultant at Browning Associates, you will empower clients to identify, pursue, and achieve career goals. You will provide one-on-one coaching and personalized strategies for individuals at the Mid-Senior to Executive Level from various industries and professions. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in assisting clients with career planning, job search methodology, skill development, and overall career management.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in technology and online platforms for career coaching purposes.
  • Active listening skills to understand clients' needs, motivations, and aspirations.
  • Strong understanding of current industry trends and job market dynamics is required to help clients target appropriate opportunities.
  • Familiarity with various career assessment tools and resources is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of occupations is needed to enable the Project Manager to offer tailored guidance.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a career coach, career counselor, or similar role, preferably working with high-income individuals.
  • Commitment to highest-level client satisfaction.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, human resources, business administration) is required.
  • Ability to provide honest feedback and constructive criticism in a supportive manner, at times through difficult challenges and transitions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and build trust in a fully remote setting.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire clients, keeping them engaged and productive throughout their search.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled at contracting with clients to ensure accountability and productivity throughout their program tenure.
  • Available 30 hours a week on average with capacity to increase or decrease hours to meet the needs of the business.
  • Flexibility to schedule meetings across all US times zones and coordinate with the clients’ schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Offer insights into industry trends, job market demands, and emerging opportunities.
  • Aid in negotiating job offers, reviewing employment contracts, and navigating workplace dynamics.
  • Advise clients on professional development opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, certifications, or advanced degrees.
  • Assist clients in preparing necessary documents for writing team to produce branding package.
  • Provide guidance on career exploration, helping clients identify potential industries, roles, and paths that align with their interests, skills, and goals.
  • Stay updated on career coaching industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Identify clients' career goals and help them establish realistic and achievable objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive interview training and coaching, and conduct practice interviews when necessary.
  • Assist clients in developing effective job search strategies, including networking techniques, online job search methods, and leveraging professional platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Monitor client progress and when necessary, work with client to overcome productivity barriers, including personal and sometimes sensitive issues.
  • Conduct individual assessments to understand clients' career backgrounds, strengths, and aspirations.
  • Assist clients in developing personalized action plans to enhance their short-term and long-term career management.
  • Provide ongoing guidance on building and leveraging professional networks.
