Job Description

Are you looking to hone your human resources skills? One of our clients is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director and assist in various HR functions.This is a part time (20-24 hours per week) position with flexible hours.


Job Responsibilities:


Administrative Support:

● Assist with the maintenance of employee records, including personal information, attendance, leave, and training records.

● Update and manage HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

● Prepare HR documents, such as offer letters, and HR policies and procedures.

● Coordinate meetings, interviews, and training sessions, including scheduling, room booking, and preparing materials.

● Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees and external stakeholders, providing information and assistance as needed.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

● Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.

● Prepare new-hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring completion of required documentation and orientation.

● Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment screening processes.

● Maintain job descriptions and organizational charts, ensuring they are up to date.

Employee Relations:

● Assist with employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing social events and recognition programs.

● Support employee communication efforts, including distributing HR-related announcements and newsletters.

● Handle routine employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

● Assist in coordinating employee performance appraisal processes and maintaining performance records.

Benefits and Compensation:

● Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

● Assist with the preparation of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

● Maintain and update employee files and records related to benefits and compensation.

● Compliance and Reporting:

● Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

● Assist in the preparation of HR reports, metrics, and data analysis.

● Help monitor HR-related deadlines, such as performance reviews, training requirements, and license renewals.

Qualifications and Skills:

● High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field is a plus.

● Experience as an HR Assistant, Administrator, or in a similar role.

● Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in using MS Office applications.

● Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.

● Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

● Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is advantageous.

● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
