Human Resources Intern (Part-Time)

Some of the day-to-day duties you will take on as HR Intern at Buro Happold include:

Talent Acquisition:

• Ad hoc tasks as needed
• Update Applicant Tracking System
• Schedule candidates for interviews
• Perform background checks using a third party provider
• Work with our US Campus Recruiter with posting open roles to multiple university job portals
• Coordinate in-person and virtual career fairs

HR Business Partner Team:

• Maintain filing for I-9’s and online personnel records for all US employees
• Assist with ongoing HR projects and initiatives
• Interact with local business services teams to ensure candidates are set up on IT, HR, Administration systems (e-mail activations, e-mail signatures, desk space, access cards, IT requirements (PC, laptop etc.)
• Perform HR administrative tasks to support the US HR team
• Deliver a proactive, high level HR service to the business
• Work closely with the appropriate line manager to ensure a smooth orientation for new hires

We are looking for:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or a related field
• Basic understanding/experience of employment law (Labor, federal, state) preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and impeccable time management skills
• Experience working with an HRIS database and ATS preferred
• Professional attitude within a busy environment
• Design and power automate experience a plus
• Familiarity with working in a role wearing many hats and juggling a large number of responsibilities
• Confident user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
