Operations Senior Associate/Director

We are a venture-backed ethical apparel brand looking for an "awesome" Operations Senior Associate/Director. This position will be based in New York and report directly to the company’s CEO and COO. This is a crucial role in shaping our operations vision and strategy.

We leverage advanced analytics and technology to create a business with greater growth and consistency than traditional consumer retail companies. The team consists of teammates located in both New York and Seoul.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

3rd Party Logistics (3PL) Management:

• Troubleshoot and investigate order issues in the warehouse management system and Shopify
• Support new product launches by ensuring inventory is received and sellable from manufacturers
• Own, track, and optimize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Manage 3PL daily relationships and systems regarding shipping plans, orders, and ad hoc projects

Demand & Inventory Planning:

• Run monthly forecast models to determine SKU burn rates to determine next purchase orders
• Collaborate with accounting & finance to manage ending inventory and COGS calculations
• Work with manufacturing partners to execute purchase orders by communicating with manufacturing partners
• Develop and maintain demand and inventory planning models, tools, and reports
• Develop and manage demand and inventory planning processes, policies, and procedures
• Develop and implement inventory reduction strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability

Inventory Management System Lead:

• Lead SKU creation, Bill of Materials management, and troubleshooting data issues
• Create routine reports to diagnose the state of inventory and COGS trends
• Be the technical lead on Cin7 Core (Formerly Dear Systems), our inventory management system
• Partner with accounting & finance to translate operational data to financials
• Manage data entry for end-to-end PO creation to sale process
• Conduct routine audits and inventory adjustments

Profile:

- Bachelor's Degree in operations, finance, accounting, IT systems, business, or a related field

- MBA a plus

- 3+ years of operations, finance, data management, implementing programs, and/or managing 3rd party relationships

- Managed 3rd party logistics relationships to receive and ship orders

- Worked with inventory management system or related databases / ERP

- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail

- A team player that is enthusiastic about collaborating with team members

- Early stage/venture funded business experience

- Ecommerce/fashion/retail experience

- Independent, self-directed and self-motivated

- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

- Strong user of technology

- Experience with Shopify Plus, ERP, Google Suite, Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
