Operations Analytics, Senior Analyst

Innovative and established eCommerce company within a niche retail space seeks a Senior Analyst to join its Advanced Analytics group. Senior Analyst will perform data analytics to improve customer experience and operational business planning initiatives.

What Will You Do:

• Leverage statistics, machine learning, mathematical modeling that push the company towards strategies to drive profitability
• Build APIs to bring in external data sources, collaborate on data management strategies
• Build dashboards that visualize critical business KPI and automate the BI process once reports are approved by stakeholders
• Provide data storytelling, utilize analytical findings to influence senior leadership, take analytical findings and infuse them into short / long term business strategies
• Analyze Enterprise-wide data to: improve customer experience, make more informed inventory decisions, fine-tune logistics and transportation planning
• Develop accurate customer demand forecasts leveraging historical customer purchase data, promotional activity, economic trends, seasonality
• Mine traffic, weather, customer, and competitor data to find anomalies and correlations that identify areas of opportunity and/or are a catalyst to strategy development

• Full-time role that is hybrid (3X's in office and rest work from home)
• Role is in the NYC metro area
• Individual contributor role that is hands-on + strategic

Responsibilities/Experience:

• Client facing, strategic, highly analytical, articulate, great communication
• Bachelors / masters
• Strong with SQL to mine data and either R, SAS, Python for predictive analytics
• ECommerce OR operations analytics background is a plus
