Job Description

This position will manage the overall efficiency of operational flow of clinical operations within the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. This includes developing, managing, and directing the clinical operations strategic vision of the department, aligning the operations supervisors' daily workflow with the strategic vision, and identifying new and innovative methods of operations development based on organizational benchmarks. This position will also develop modern training modules on specific job functions pertinent to effective operations and technology. This position will also collaborate with peers in different, but related clinical departments to develop program initiatives. Responsible for the supervision and professional development and growth of operations supervisors.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and manage facility improvement projects
  • Monitor and track administrative and operational expenditures, assisting Administrator and Finance Director data for budget submission process. Coordinate administrative process for purchasing.
  • Contribute to the development of position/function specific training modules for all new and existing associates.
  • Participate in strategic development meetings.
  • Development of operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all associates are up-to-date on changes in the policies of insurance companies and make staff aware of procedure changes in daily activities.
  • Coordinate compliance with accrediting agencies.
  • Provide project management of operational, financial, and/or business growth initiatives.
  • Staff utilization.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for operational changes and improvements based on trending reports.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient computer skills, specifically EPIC or related EHR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • 4 years relevant work experience in a healthcare setting
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Ability to address physical and emotional needs to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations.
