B V L G A R I is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to join our Fifth Avenue Flagship!
The Operations Manager oversees and manages the boutique's operations, safety & security functions. This person is the expert on all back-of-house procedures, systems, and tools and ensures the smooth running of operations. This person will oversee all activities monitoring daily reconciliation and reporting, inventory integrity and shrinkage, safe procedures, and shipping functions.
Essential Duties:
Store Operations
· Own all operational functions within the Boutique, including Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving, Security, Resource Planning/Staffing, and Compliance
· Collaborate with corporate finance and security departments on policy and procedure
· Ensures that merchandise is received and processed in accordance with store operations procedures
· Manages expenses, control, and accounting functions, bill paying, invoices, etc.
· Ensures day-to-day management of the relationships with local suppliers
Safety & Security
· Ensures the entire boutique staff is following safety and security protocols, at all times (On the sales floor, inventory management, loss prevention)
· Ensures appropriate staff coverage of the Sales Administration and Security teams.
Leadership
· Support the Store Director with all procedures put in place to streamline and safeguard the store and product.
· Lead 6 direct reports, coaching and inspiring the team to deliver flawlessly
· Design, implement and monitor continuous improvement processes for the team
· Communicate feedback to better the operation and the employee experience
Key Competencies:
· At least 6 years of work experience in a large-volume luxury retail environment
· Thorough understanding of high-volume operations and a key focus on developing back-of-house efficiencies that support the store's success.
· Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and put in place the proper business actions
· BOLD sense of initiative
· Must work retail hours – Weekdays and Weekends, Evenings & Holidays
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to acquire some expertise in Store operation applications (Beanstore, SalesForce, SAP)
