Director, US Luxury Media


MEDIA – NYC


COTY is looking for smart leaders who are tenacious, passionate, and fearlessly kind.


The Director, US Luxury Media will be responsible for management of paid media strategy and activation for the US Luxury division (Fragrance, Makeup & Skincare) and act as they key subject matter expert, partnering day to day with stakeholders at all levels to ensure paid media efficiency and effectiveness as a key marketing pillar. She/he will oversee media for a large portfolio of brands with a total paid media budget of $75M+.


She/He will use their leadership skills and influence to ensure that local media plans ladder to global strategies while ensuring local business goals are met. Reporting into the US Sr Director of Media, this position will partner closely with cross functional teams across Marketing, Influencer/PR, Finance, Sales, eCommerce, Procurement & CMI. She/he will develop and manage a team of 3 direct reports who will coordinate campaigns across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on digital (Social Media, Video, Publisher Direct Buys.) She/he will also be responsible for day to day oversight and management of output from local Agency of Record.


In this role you will be responsible for:


  • Day to day oversight and management of output from local Agency of Record. Responsible for tracking delivery, progress and alignment to COTY goals
  • Act as key Media expert for the Luxury division, challenging the status quo and bringing new, innovative thinking to the organization
  • Oversight of paid media for a large portfolio of Luxury Fragrance, Skincare and Makeup brands; management/ financial tracking of OMNI budget (Traditional, Digital, Coop, eCommerce, DTC) across portfolio of brands is a key responsibility
  • Coordination with global media / marketing partners on local media strategies and plans
  • Continually communicate and evaluate progress against key metrics while constantly looking at ways to optimize performance
  • That demonstrate media strategy and key successes
  • Ensuring plans are built to drive local business goals/growth via strong day to day collaboration with US Marketing teams, Sales & Finance
  • Management of paid media strategy and activation for the US Luxury division (Fragrance, Makeup & Skincare)
  • Development and management of a team of 3 direct reports; focused on individual group of brands. . Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports. Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace


Qualifications


We’d love to see candidates who have:


Essential:


  • Strong understanding of the KPIs to optimize media performance & key platform best practices
  • 12+ years of Media experience – agency side, brand side or both
  • Attention to detail; ability to manage multiple brands / campaigns at once with a sense of urgency
  • Experience in growing strong partnerships with key digital players
  • Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking in approaching new and innovative ways of executing
  • Experience with Beauty brands in the US market
  • Management of a portfolio of brands; preferably Global brands
  • Active learner who is willing to experiment and be open minded to new ideas and technology
  • Track record of creating and executing a Global Media strategy answering business objectives
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape to build synergies with Ecommerce, Eretail Media and DTC teams
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
  • Experience in a dynamic, matrix organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required


Desirable:


  • Luxury Beauty experience: Skincare experience an added plus
  • Experience managing a media team

Base Salary Range: $140,000-175,000
