Our marketing, business development and communications team contributes to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives, which includes supporting our partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming our clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite law firms.

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to oversee day-to-day administrative tasks that assist in driving forward the marketing and BD growth plans and continued integration of lateral partners into client relationships and new clients into the A&O network.

Job description
Context
Allen & Overy’s global Marketing, Business Development and Communication team contributes to the setting and achievement of the firm’s strategic business objectives. This includes a structured and rigorous approach towards managing the firm’s relationships with our key, global strategic clients via our global Client Relationship Management team, in conjunction with the relevant Global Relationship Partners. This ensures we demonstrate our long-term commitment to those institutions, maintain strong existing relationships and identify opportunities to broaden those relationships in to new areas of business.

Role and responsibilities

• Manage and ensure accuracy of data in CRM database, including contact and BD activity; liaise with US PAs to ensure partner-specific activity is recorded.
• Oversee special projects and assignments as required.
• Provide detailed briefings, research, and background documents for meetings, events, and trips.
• Handle a high volume of requests for US initiative partner meetings, key client teams, and scheduling across time zones, liaising with partner PAs to ensure majority turnout.
• Compile and process expense reports and reimbursements for all Senior US MKT Team and Events Team members.
• Maintain marketing and BD trackers associated with initiatives, events and key client accounts.
• Research the priorities and business development strategies of current and potential clients.
• Support extended US MKT Team (i.e., junior team members) in developing event and other client distributions lists.
• Manage complex calendars while coordinating travel arrangements and arranging reservations and holds for client meetings, offsites and other client development activities managed by the Senior US MKT Team.
• Provide comprehensive administrative marketing and business development support to US Chief, Sr. BD Managers and ad hoc support to the Events Manager, collectively the “Senior US MKT Team”.
• Support Senior US MKT Team members with planning, coordination and organization of partner road-shows.
• Act as a liaison and manage communication between the Senior US MKT Team, partner and client PAs, and other outside speakers in connection with substantive client seminar programs; act as an extension to Senior US MKT Team when needed.
• Oversee client gifting for all US Key Clients while serving as a resource to US PAs for client swag and gifting for clients outside the Key Client Account program.
• Manage logistics for internal and external meetings/events, and speaking engagements.

The annualized base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position and other job-related factors permitted by law.
