What do you do all day?
At NMSI, our people mean everything to us. They are the lifeblood of the organization. Without our staff, NMSI is just an idea. The Manager, Content and Creative Marketing plays an important role in NMSI's content marketing while supporting the NMSI brand, programmatic partnerships, development, and other external communication activities.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing and is a regular full-time role that can be performed from anywhere in the contiguous United States. Occasional travel is required for in-person meetings and conferences
What are the details?
- Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to generate leads, increase followers and website traffic
- Work closely with marketing agencies and freelance creatives to endure brand voice, visuals and messaging are consistent and ensure timely delivery of content across channels
- Stay abreast of current best practices in the industry and review competitor content to compare their activities with those of NMSI
- Maintain and improve brand frameworks, including brand visuals and tone of voice across the portfolio of programs and any brand touchpoints
- Use target keywords to write copy that is optimized for search engines (SEO) while remaining entertaining and informative
- Lead, plan and manage the creation of original content, including white papers, case studies, infographics, blog posts and guides
- Monitor content performance and report on content analysis, metrics, and KPIs
- Develop content strategy across channels for original written content to support the NMSI brand
- Provide strong and thoughtful design guidance with cross-functional teams as well as freelance creatives and agencies
- Assist with the brand copy for company-owned channels and collateral such as email campaigns, flyers, webinars, social media channels and presentations.
- Manage Google Ad Grant and Vendor NPM
- Other duties as assigned
- Support the VP, Marketing Communications with other content development and asset design as needed to support external communications
- Manage relationship with Content and Design contractors
What are we looking for?
- Strong Writer – You can efficiently digest information to quickly write copy that is engaging and effective in driving desired outcomes.
- Flexible – You are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with competing priorities; you can travel, including weekends.
- Sense of Humor – You don't take yourself too seriously; work hard; play hard is your mantra.
- Strong Designer – You have demonstrated skills in InDesign, PowerPoint or similar software to design engaging marketing assets effectively; experience in Adobe Illustrator is a plus.

What do we offer?
The starting salary range for this position is $70,683 - $81,285 and commensurate with related experience. We take pay equity seriously and work hard to ensure our team members are paid fairly regardless of their gender, race, or other demographic backgrounds. In addition to a competitive salary with the potential for an annual pay increase, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including paying roughly 78% of employee-only medical, dental, and vision benefits plus a large portion for dependents. Staff are eligible to participate in 401(k) after 90 days of employment, with up to a 6% employee match, fully vested on day one of participation in the plan. Other benefits for full-time employees include referral and performance-based annual bonuses, telecommunications stipends for eligible remote employees, 25 paid holidays annually (including a two-week-long winter break), and a generous PTO policy starting at 12 days per year.
