Job Description

DEUX is a venture-backed, better-for-you snacks brand that believes good-for-you should taste good. Our products are all vegan, gluten-free, made with high quality ingredients and enhanced with added boosts of supplements. Our hero products are delicious Donuts, Cookie Doughs, and Dessert Spreads (yes, you get to eat all of these products as part of the role) that have caught fire selling nationwide online, in Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, & direct to consumer. Our team is quirky, fun (I mean, just look at our Instagram…), hardworking, and loves to win.

The Creative & Content Lead will own DEUX’s end-to-end brand presence across all channels. They will own the design and look & feel of the brand, from social media to packaging to website to events. They will work directly with DEUX’s Head of Marketing to define the content strategy, email campaigns, packaging, and execute in other areas where needed. The position provides significant autonomy and growth opportunity into becoming a leader in the company as we continue to grow rapidly both online and in retail.


Responsibilities:

Social (50%)

  • Concept strategies to increase social reach and engagement. This includes but is not exclusive to influencer giftings, giveaways and social partnerships with adjacent brands.
  • Execute the DEUX’s social media strategy across Instagram and TikTok as well as any other relevant social media platforms.
  • Write compelling, on-brand copy for all social channels that demonstrates value and sets DEUX apart from the competition
  • Manage the content calendar for social, actively sourcing new content internally through collaboration with other departments and externally with influencer/partner brands
  • Act as digital community manager and customer service rep on social channels – engaging and activating our social following where needed, or handing off to internal team where needed
  • Shoot or graphically design compelling digital content (still and video) for all channels

Design & Creative (40%)

  • Facilitate ad hoc creative needs for, but not exclusive to, events, retail initiatives and ads.
  • Design & own necessary assets for website, product launches, and landing pages
  • Collaborating and designing Merch concepts for internal use, Retail promotional use, and Direct To Consumer selling
  • Co-Lead Photo Shoots, including shot lists, creative concepts, procurement of materials, and managing the agency
  • Plans and structures social content calendars by thinking strategically about what has worked in the past, what is currently trending and what is worthwhile to test out.
  • Concept and execute on current labels & future packaging for new products
  • Concept and execute on ongoing email campaigns for promotions, launches, and brand boosts


Other (10%)

  • Maintain workstreams in Notion or other project management platforms, and consistently communicate status on projects


What you will bring:

  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and independently manage projects with minimal follow up
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively and anticipate needs (e.g., launching Whole Foods - what assets does social and email need to create? Do we need any guidance from the Sales department?)
  • Flexible hours and open to travel, including some evenings and weekends as needed for events, product & store launches, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience managing comprehensive marketing projects
  • Creativity, must be able to produce, merge copy, and “live” the brand
  • Excellent written, oral and communication skills
  • Strong graphic design abilities & ability to edit both photos & videos
  • Proficiencies: Photoshop, AI, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Figma, etc.
