Job Description

n2y is a national leader in creating and delivering educational materials and curriculum for the special education classroom. The company creates symbols, content and curriculum delivered using dynamic and interactive applications to students, teachers and parents. Its curriculum is used extensively throughout the United States, and the company has the number one licensable symbol set used to develop special education content.


The Director of Product Marketing and Creative Services is responsible for leading, developing, and executing our product marketing strategy, reinforcing n2y as the thought leader in special education.


You will lead a team of subject matter experts, content marketers, customer marketers and creative services to develop and execute a go-to-market product strategy that will help us reach our business and mission goals. You will focus on synthesizing the market, buyer personas, products, and competition to increase our awareness and consideration. You will also focus on developing positioning, messaging and a content marketing strategy that resonates with our target audience, leads with value differentiation and supports successful campaigns.

You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a brand advocate and guardian to ensure marketing activities are aligned to and support the overall brand
  • Collaborate with Customer Relations to support the customer journey and develop the customer marketing & communication strategy to drive utilization, time-to-value and renewals
  • Partner with the Product and Go-To-Market Teams to identify the key value drivers to purchase and utilization and impact the product roadmap
  • Engage with educators to gain product feedback, uncover market trends and identify competitive factors
  • Work with Sales Enablement to develop and align on sales messaging, training materials & tools, collateral, and competitive intelligence
  • Deeply understand our target audiences, their needs, behavior, mindset and buying process to uncover valuable insights and keep a pulse on future needs
  • Lead the product marketing team and oversee brand and product positioning, messaging, content creation, competitive and pricing analysis
  • Build our impact story by developing data research projects, case studies, success stories and testimonials
  • Manage our internal creative services team to bring our positioning to life in the copy and develop creative and digital assets that support marketing plans
  • Share subject matter expertise and collaborate on content marketing pieces with Growth Marketing to deliver impactful demand gen campaigns across channels
  • Effectively communicate product marketing insights and outputs across n2y to ensure alignment and provide support to strategies across departments


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading creative to craft brand & product messaging and design that resonates and connects with our audience
  • 5+ years experience in B2B Product Marketing or Go-To-Market leadership (EdTech preferred)
  • Extremely strong written (storytelling) and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver simple and actionable analysis
  • Proof of strong working relationships across all levels and functions of the company, including Product, Sales, Enablement and Customer Success
  • Evidence of developing highly effective product positioning, messaging, and marketing content
  • Excellent leadership skills to guide a team of highly-motivated, smart marketers toward goals and provide coaching to support them in continued growth and development
  • Ability to analyze and communicate data to define audiences, market dynamics and product impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related functional area
