About The Role


Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, the Director of Creative Content takes a leading role in the development and oversight of new productions, ranging from concept development, providing creative direction and strategic support, through post-production and delivery.


Responsibilities


  • Work hand in hand with the creative team in reviewing and assessing video-base product ideas.
  • Generate new ideas for new video-based products; including researching, writing proposals, designing pitch decks; taking pitches to greenlight, and identifying suitable authors, coaches or experts for the development of new video-based products.
  • Ideate or manage ideation of new creative campaigns.
  • Provide editorial direction and supervision of MindValley creative teams, to include scripting, edit reviews, talent (authors), music, graphics, and all aspects of final finishing, ensuring productions remain on course and meet network expectations.
  • Serve as the Executive Producer for all video-based products, managing and supervising their creative execution.
  • Work across MindValley departments such as Marketing, Product, Legal, and Communications teams to support network programming.
  • Work with the Production Management Department to ensure budgets, schedules and creative concepts are closely aligned.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the authors and coaches, exploring avenues for creative engagement and the development of programming that are in line with the transformational spirit of the MindValley brand.
  • Attend and supervise shoots and final finishing sessions such as color correct, audio mix, and narration when necessary.
  • Manage and supervise the Learning Experience Producers, Copywriters and the Author Relations team.


Requirements


  • 10 years' experience in long form non-fiction format television production. Should have produced quality, ratings winning programming for national broadcast or a streaming service.


Additional Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of industry standards for rights and clearances
  • Thorough knowledge of television production process, from development through post-production
  • A track record of team-building and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in field production and directing
  • Strong editorial and storytelling skills
  • Knowledge of post-production process
  • Overall knowledge of program budgets and production costs
  • Excellent writing skills and story-development experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel to internal meetings, to shoots, to festivals/markets) as needed
  • Passion for Factual/Unscripted/Documentary content
  • Familiarity with television landscape across linear channels, streaming and digital platforms
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Extensive experience as creative lead taking projects through edit
