Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Key Account Director’s primary responsibility is to sell, grow and develop the food service business by utilizing customer value propositions to realize significant profitable value for the company while ensuring strong customer value and partnership. This individual will be responsible for managing existing and new key account relationships within the US. The Key Account Director must comfortably interface with key decision makers within the customer accounts as well as customer operational management and enjoy building new customer relationships. This role will also be responsible for increasing the overall profitability of the current food service business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to present & communicate Diversey Value Propositions to customer senior management.
  • Develop Customer Growth Plan:
    • Create a detailed, business plan identifying customer opportunities and profitable sales growth plans for assigned customers and identified prospective accounts.
    • These detailed plans provide the framework for customer retention, growth, and competitive threat mitigation.
    • They encompass Customer Management relations as well as site-specific locations.
    • Must be able to present & communicate Diversey Value Propositions to customer senior management.

  • Account Management:
    • Provide management of current accounts, daily activities, and priorities & manage KPIs to meet the needs of customer expectations regarding service and sales support.
    • Provide needed customer training and support as needed.
    • Contribute to and actively manage Sales funnel - reporting of activity, with sales budgeting, forecasting, and expenses.
  • Provide needed customer training and support as needed.
  • Must drive engagement with customers at all levels to ensure all new & existing needs are understood and all key stakeholders recognize the value delivered.
  • Will work through selling cycles and negotiations.
  • Presents appropriate Diversey Value Propositions to key national prospects to secure new, profitable business.

  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Sector colleagues:
    • Collaborate with Diversey Sector leadership and sales personnel globally to ensure effective & consistent delivery of Value Propositions to key customers - including value-added services such as training, service, support, and supply delivery.
  • Contribute to and actively manage Sales funnel - reporting of activity, with sales budgeting, forecasting, and expenses.
  • Collaborate with Food Service Leaders and Diversey support functions to ensure profit & Value Propositions.
  • New Business Development:
    • Presents appropriate Diversey Value Propositions to key national prospects to secure new, profitable business.
    • Will work through selling cycles and negotiations.

  • Preserve & Grow Existing Business:
    • Collaborate with Food Service Leaders and Diversey support functions to ensure profit & Value Propositions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Industry and sector knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate at the national level of organizations, along with the ability to sell at the operational level.
  • Financial acumen
  • 3+ years of sales experience minimum in a B2B Business Development role
  • Demonstrated ability to work with teammates, both direct & indirect teams
  • Strong analytical background
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience with business planning
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate plans into actions
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Proven Business Development experience acquiring & complex customers & delivering results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of sales experience minimum in a B2B business development role in the Retail, Food Service, or Facility Management market
  • Chemical sales experience
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The current pay range for this position is $118,000 to $172,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon, but may not be limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws. For 2023, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in accordance with the plan document.
