THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY


Travel Retail is a key strategic channel for the Wella Company. The Key Account Manager, Travel Retail (based in Miami, Fl) for the America’s Region will participate in the development strategy and identify and activate business growth in line with regional and global expectations.

This is a new role and ideal for a candidate who has experience in the channel within the beauty industry and wants to be a part of a global team responsible for setting the tone for fast-growth throughout the region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordination of plans across regions (including synchronization of plans with domestic markets’ teams)
  • Maintain the network and ongoing collaboration with our external partners (suppliers, decoration and merchandising agencies)
  • Co-define the right go-to-market for our brands across regions/ country/ customers/ sub_ channels
  • Collaborate with global brand teams to define a toolbox by the brand that is “fit-to-win” for the channel
  • Responsible for financial and operation deliverables specified by Global leadership
  • Budget management and co-responsibility on specific parts of the channel’s P&L
  • Build relationships with customers and distributors across the region and ensure Wella is prioritized within distributor brand portfolios
  • Manage daily interactions with customers’ teams (from marketing teams to in-store managers)
  • Fuel the expansion of the Wella Company travel retail business in America’s Region
  • Help negotiate commercial agreements with global customers
  • Define & maintain assortment, prices, and planograms by customers/ type of door
  • Organization of global industry events
  • While increasing sales and profitability on a yearly basis, ensure the quality of relationships with customers and distributors


Qualifications:

  • Able to travel 30%
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Strong sales and business acumen background with strong analytical skills
  • You are a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and well-rounded professional with a minimum of 5 years of Travel Retail Sales within the beauty/or fragrance category
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience in budget management
  • Passion for the channel and in-store execution
  • Experience in managing customers, agencies, or suppliers
  • A team player, capable of working and traveling autonomously while maintaining a team orientationStrong proven presentation and negotiation skills, diplomatic with all business
