We are in search of a qualified and resourcefulHR Recruitment & Retention Coordinatorto support our HR Department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The perfect candidate will have the “right” combination of compassion, desire to help others and drive to work in a collaborative team environment, focused primarily on talent acquisition and staff retention.
The HR Recruitment & Retention Coordinator position is full-time and will be located at the Corporate Office in State College, PA, working primarily Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, with some flexibility required for interviews based on the candidate's schedule.

HR Recruitment & Retention Coordinator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle administrative tasks for on-boarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the Recruiting Process, the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve candidate, new hire, and employee experiences.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to report to work as scheduled, in a timely fashion and with an attitude oriented toward customer service.
- Prepare paperwork, schedules, and facilitates smooth new hire on-boarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verification.
- Pre-screen candidates via telephone, video interview/screen or personal interviews; Create pre-screening questions to ensure proper candidate fit.
- Participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
- Seek out new and creative ideas to proactively attract candidates through social media posts, resume mining, outreach efforts, college/university recruitment, career fairs, website postings, special recruiting events and other position advertising methods.
- Maintain contact with hiring managers to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture, thereby helping candidates to fully understand the opportunity and ensure the best selection.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, applicant dispositions, and other recruiting activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with recruiting, interviewing and selection; experience serving a high volume with multiple locations preferred.
- Resourceful, detail oriented, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
- Computer proficient with advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
- I9 Identification (Social Security Card, Passport, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
- A minimum of (2) years recruiting and on-boarding experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates through various methods.
- Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
