As a growing company, we are always looking for new team members to help us continue in our success. Currently, we are seeking a Human Resources Manager.


Responsible for generalist functions as well as safety and workers' compensation management for the entire Rome, NY Distribution Center location of up to 300 employees. Along with other management team members, this position is responsible for reinforcing Orgill’s organizational and safety culture. Key areas of responsibility include resource planning, establishing and communicating performance expectations, employee development, safety and retention. Coordinates exempt, non-exempt and CDL truck driver recruiting, employment related legal compliance, employee relations, payroll, workers compensation, employee benefits, training, and related policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Must have extensive knowledge of industrial safety and training.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to be “on call” at all times.
  • Articulate with good presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC software skills including Google Workspace, Google docs and sheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or similar degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Kronos, iCIMS and UKG a plus
  • Workers' comp management experience in New York is preferred.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday with some occasional weekends.
  • Must have multiple years experience as a Human Resources Generalist, and responsibilities as an HR Manager.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must have experience leading HR in an industrial work environment with demonstrated success developing rapport at all levels of the company.
  • Successful track record managing multiple activities, leading committees, effectively planning and organizing, developing others, effectively working under pressure with challenging personalities.
