JOB SUMMARY
The HR Manager provides field and corporate support with an emphasis in associate relations, front line associate recruitment, training and diversity. This role supports operations leaders with subject matter expertise regarding HR policies, procedures and programs.
Target Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists managers in developing and implementing recruitment plans to increase qualified applicant flow.
- Identifies critical HR needs and takes appropriate steps to address them
- Participates in operational meetings, providing HR subject matter expertise.
- Provides recruitment support and tools to unit management to build relations and make presentations at schools, organizations, community associations and job fairs
- Encourages and facilitates two-way communication between management and associates.
- Conducts management training related to the areas of interviewing, selection and hiring.
- Attends operational meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, and implement account HR initiatives.
- Conducts HR Assessments.
- Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and create action plan to address as needed.
- Prepares and presents HR related topics at Field Operations Workshops for HR Training and Development.
- Makes recommendations to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Regularly coordinates and conducts HR-related training (i.e.: Sexual Harassment, Progressive Discipline, HR 101).
- Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation and management training relating to new hires
- Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
- Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Supports internal customer survey and associate satisfaction feedback process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in conducting efficient and accurate investigations
- Experience in a high customer contact setting.
- Skilled in verbal and written communications
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Demonstrated ability to provide HR support to 1000+ associates across multiple locations
- Some prior HR experience in a union environment.
- 2 -5 years’ multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience.
- Tech-savvy with strong attention to detail
- Bi-lingual a plus!
- Ability to work remotely with regular travel to accounts (mostly in Northeast region)
