Job Summary:
Responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the human resources function for multiple regions ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, federal, state and local laws and regulations. Manages human resources team members throughout multiple regions and addresses current and potential issues to achieve and maintain a positive employee relations environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides advice and counsel to national team members and management on employment related issues.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Manages and utilizes staff to fullest potential by motivating and challenging them to achieve results while offering developmental and educational opportunities to progress their careers.
- Works with VP/HR to create national programs including succession planning, leadership development, 360-degree feedback, etc.
- Monitors team member relations throughout assigned region for developing or actual trends, issues and problems, and assists local human resources with addressing issues.
- Investigates and resolves external and internal charges/complaints of discrimination or harassment; recommends corrective action, as appropriate.
- Oversees the administration of multi-region implementation of human resources programs, policies and procedures. Works to improve processes to ensure maximum efficiency of function.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Excellent verbal and written communication using appropriate means of communication with management, peers and team. Displays ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Ability to portray self as approachable, professional and courteous; supporting internal and external customers efficiently, effectively and positively.
- Must have exceptional analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skills along with leadership, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Must have current knowledge and proficiency using a personal computer and general business software.
- Demonstrates a high-level of integrity and a strong depth of knowledge.
- Travel required up to 50% of time and must be available to travel as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements:
The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 10 years of related Human Resources experience. Experience with a multi-site/national organization is strongly preferred.
