Job Description

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting multiple store locations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
To be considered a candidate, an employee must meet the minimum requirements of the job posting:
  • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
  • Build and maintains working relationship with the local community
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations
  • Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill job openings.
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resource generalist role.
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Communicates various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
  • Monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely
  • Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors workers' compensation case and FMLA files; follows-up on open cases with corp HR
  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Maintains and supports the store management team with employee recognition and engagement activities and programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15 - $16 per hour
