Human Resources (Hr) Assistant

Robert Half currently has an excellent opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant in the Housing Association industry. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for handling a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity is with an organization in the Housing Association industry and is based in the Baltimore, Maryland area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee database archives
• Participate in planning new employee orientation meetings
• Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities
• Research the internet to discover potential customers

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired
• Receptionist Duties experience required
• FMLA experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office
• Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor
• Human Resources (HR) Administration experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
• Proficiency in Ordering Office Supplies
• Proven knowledge of Enter Invoices
• Experience with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
