We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant Program Manager with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team. In this role, the Human Resources Assistant Program Manager will coordinate between Operational Programs, Staff leaders, and within combined groups to achieve Company goals while operating within Human Resources related laws, regulations, and best practices. The Human Resources Assistant Program Manager will directly lead and manage the Human Resources Business Partners and Specialists: coaching, teaching, mentoring, and counseling; executing, delegating, prioritizing, and/or supervising all Human Resources related taskings and requirements; and striving to facilitate effective (timely, accurate, and transparent) communication downward to the Human Resources Team, across to the other Operational Programs and Staff Directors, and upward to the Company Leadership. What you will do:

  • Provide inspired leadership to the Human Resources Team, ensuring all members are treated with dignity and respect
  • Support Surefox growth, both domestically and internationally, by surging Human Resource assets as necessary to ensure mission success
  • Maintain employee personnel records, electronic filing projects, and assist in facilitating regular internal audits
  • Maintain department records and reports IAW Surefox and regulatory requirements
  • Work in conjunction with the Surefox Recruiting Team to ensure seamless onboarding of personnel to the Company
  • Supervise the creation and revision job descriptions; supervise the job offer process
  • Oversee exit interviews and develop best practices related to off-boarding processes
  • Review, guide, and facilitate management recommendations for employment terminations
  • Maintain the Company directory ensuring accuracy
  • Develop, revise, and recommend personnel policy approaches and procedures
  • Maintain and revise the Company’s handbook on policies and procedures
  • Oversee employee services and counseling, while monitoring employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
  • Develop, analyze and update the company’s evaluation program
  • Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline process of the company
  • Monitor the implementation of performance improvement plan processes with under-performing and non-performing employees.
  • Oversee PTO and Sick Leave based on Company requirements and approved policies
  • Assist with employee leave, including employee military leave, medical leave, and/or FMLA
  • Implement and encourage teamwork amongst cross-team administrative staff
  • Review, track, and ensure adherence to Federal and State employment and compliance regulations
  • Monitor and track OSHA and CAL OSHA required data
  • Review and reply to high volume email correspondence from employees regarding compensation, benefits, and other facets of their employment
  • Assist with Reasonable Accommodations process
  • Conduct new employee orientation and employee relations counseling
  • Work with the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer as needed to support investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought to the company’s attention

What is required:

  • Experience in navigating, updating, and utilizing Workday or an equivalent HRIS
  • Must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 6+ years of progressive Human Resources Operations
  • Experience in supporting specific business units and collaborating with internal Human Resources teams
  • Experience in domestic labor laws
  • Experience with supporting both salaried and hourly workforce
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, US employment laws, DOL regulations, and industry best practices
  • Must have an organized commitment to excellence and high standards, and have an attention-to-detail approach
  • Must have analytical and problem-solving experience, and a successful track record of implementing processes that scale
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and support a remote team
  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
  • Must be proficient in GSuite and MS Office
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with grace and discretion
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment

What is desired:
