Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) is an important role within the Harvard Law School human resources team. As the first point of contact to many visitors and clients, the HRA provides a high level of customer service which is core to our team’s values. The HRA also supports the Chief Human Resources Officer and Human Resources Directors, coordinating calendars as well as offering support to the office. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in Human Resources!
Position Description
As HR Assistant you will:
- Greet visitors, answer general inquiries, and direct all other inquiries to core administrative leadership and/or point person
- Manage communications and serve as primary contact for mail, copy, fax and telephone administration
- Manage inventory, order supplies, process financial transactions and reconcile accounts
- Provide some administrative support for events including logistics (space, catering, etc.) and tracking RSVPs
- Update and maintain personnel files and records, create electronic files, manage file retention and archiving, update Harvard directories, and prepare correspondence and other materials
- Support completion of various HR paperwork, including I-9 processing and employment verifications
- Assist with other general HR and departmental support such as calendaring, room reservation, office organization
- Performs other duties as necessary
- Occasionally support talent acquisition function with calendaring
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of two years of administrative experience. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
