What you’ll do:

• Supervise a broad range of Human Resources functions, including benefit administration and safety program coordination, to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state laws in order to promote high morale and a positive, union work environment.
• Conduct verbal and/or video orientation for each new employee. Distribute, explain, collect, forward and enter benefit enrollment information for each eligible employee.
• Assist in employee relations, including grievance hearings, negotiations, arbitrations and unemployment appeal hearings. Supply pertinent information and participate in representation of the company.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, specifically pertaining to FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, immigration, DOL, and ERISA.
• Maintain hourly HR database. Enter any new employees, benefit information, training information, rate changes, address changes, etc. into HR database.

What you’ll need to have:

• Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws, including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, worker’s compensation, wage and hour laws, hiring practices, and EEO compliance. Ability to understand contractual language and Company policies.
• Minimum five (5) years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing/union environment.
