The Human Resources Assistant Will Primarily Be Responsible To
- Respond to routine questions on Human Resources programs, policies and processes
- Compile information for various Human Resources management reports and filings
- Provide administrative support to Human Resources functions such as employee relations, talent management, hiring and employment compliance
- Compose requested letters, memos, presentations, reports, and other documents
- Perform first-level group benefit and retirement plan administration including planning, scheduling and preparing for newly eligible employee benefit orientations and open enrollments
- Assist department team members in advancing Human Resources operations and projects, such as candidate screening, onboarding and offboarding completion, training and development follow-up, stay interview analysis and key measure tracking
- Maintain HRIS/digital personnel records, prepare forms, request appropriate documents, process or save needed documentation and perform audits to ensure record and information accuracy and thoroughness
- Coordinate, track and assist with employee leave of absence, substance-free workplace and performance management programs
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to evaluate and treat private and confidential information with appropriate discretion
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Desire to keep learning and growing in the position including understanding employment laws and regulations and proficiently using new software
- Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
- Adaptable, resourceful and open to learning from feedback
- Formal education in Human Resources is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Possess a minimum successful equivalent of high school diploma plus one year of related training and three years of professional administrative support
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management and follow-up
- Ability to act as gatekeeper and escalate relevant information as needed
