Job Description
Cooley is seeking an HR Systems Analyst to join the Human Resources team.


Position summary: Primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of HR information system administration, including development and database management. Analyze current HR business processes and identify and recommend additional HR service applications and process improvements to HR Systems Manager. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Position responsibilities:


Systems:


  • Assist with data entry as needed (including assisting with entry of contingent worker hires)
  • Monitor and audits the data entry for all offices to ensure timeliness of information and accuracy, makes corrections as necessary
  • Provide primary or backup support to HR Team for Workday Core HCM, Onboarding, Recruiting, Absence and Time-Tracking, Reports, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Prism, including configuration and user support
  • Assist with internal Service Desk tickets, using the Ivanti Service Manager system to update Service Desk on progress
  • Assist HR Systems Manager with Workday application testing and troubleshooting of all network software prior to release to users, including writing and reviewing documentation for, testing of and implementation of Workday updates
  • Assist HR Systems Manager in ensuring adherence to licensing agreements
  • As part of HR systems team, investigate and respond to open Workday support tickets when system issues arise
  • Identify custom HR service applications as needed. Designs, builds, tests and rolls out new applications to users (this will include new functionality delivered by Workday, as well as custom applications developed in-house)
  • Act as Security Administrator for other HR systems applications and servers, setting up of new users with appropriate access, testing user access and training of new users
  • Lead configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of Learning, Benefits, Talent, and Performance Solutions.
  • Assist HR Systems Manager with firmwide technology projects including intranet development, and other projects as assigned
  • Act as backup to other HR systems team members


Reports/Integrations:


  • Using Workday Reporting Tools, designs and runs report templates for internal and external customers, as needed
  • Create ad hoc reports as needed to provide information for HR and other departments
  • Provide staffing data for Directors of Administration, diversity statistics for the firm’s DE&I team, and other special reports as requested by firm management
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Develop and maintains Excel templates for Workday reports


Skills and experience:


Required:


  • 2+ years’ HR systems experience
  • Prior Workday experience in Learning, Benefits, Talent, or Performance solutions
  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required


Preferred:


  • Prior law firm experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

The expected annual pay range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
