Job Overview: We are seeking a Swiss Army Knife to join our operations team. This individual will be responsible for supporting all internal teams’ operations, from database maintenance to workflow design to automation building. The successful candidate will thrive on no two days ever looking the same, working with a variety of teams and personality types, and solving data and communication gaps like they’re jigsaw puzzles.

Responsibilities:

·Maintain a network of 250+ automations and associated documentation across platforms like Airtable, Zapier, Hubspot, and GSuite

·Manage a variety of projects from scoping to debrief: data gathering, new software implementations, or process design

·Manage an internal ticketing system, triaging reported issues, collaborating to identify solutions, and implementing in a timely manner

·Build internal reports/dashboards, aggregating data from disparate sources to report on key metrics and answer a variety of data queries

·Be a process expert across all departments, capable of taking a bird’s eye view or deep-diving as the need arises

·Must be on call during business hours for any tech stack/automation breakdowns to troubleshoot and correct

Qualifications:

·Past experience with API based software integrations; Airtable, Zapier, Gsuite, Hubspot, Slack, Jira, etc.

·Beginner knowledge of object-oriented programming: you understand what for loops, if statements, and basic methods/functions are, and are capable of following API documentation to fulfill specific business requirements. Ok to be a stack-overflow frequent flyer!

·Past experience with database architecture, new system/software adoption

·Capable of juggling multiple competing priorities, handling day-to-day tasks as well as working towards larger projects

·Critical thinking/problem-solving: ask the right questions to identify the need behind the ask, take a consultative approach and be prepared to articulate alternate solutions to align with timeline and budget

·Past experience collaborating with stakeholders through change initiatives, supporting a high-growth environment

·Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice-to-haves:

·Previous publishing, entertainment, or media experience

·Love of books/fandom, especially sci-fi, fantasy, or romance

·Process mapping experience

·UI/UX design (html, css, react, balsamiq, figma, etc.)

*As part of our hiring process, will require a short (1-2 hour max) technical component/assignment using low-code/no-code tools.

Salary Range for this role is $65k- $80k depending on experience.

Reports to Business Operations Analyst

This is a full-time position reporting to the company headquarters in El Segundo Tues-Thurs and WFH Mon/Fri. Competitive compensation and benefits.
