Job Description

SUMMARY:
This position is eligible for remote work in the following states: CA/NY/NJ
Reporting to the International HR Planning Team, the Sr. HR Analyst will work with executive stakeholders providing data and analytics, and financial budget support and expertise. This role collaborates closely with the global Centers of Excellence, Regional Heads, Business HR partners to pull, compile, visualize, and analyze data to produce insights. Analyze and derive meaning from people-related and financial data to help HR executives make informed data-driven decisions. The successful candidate will seek feedback from the internal stakeholders and industry practices in developing reporting metrics and data analysis to support leadership and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, able to understand the bigger picture while focusing on the details, and comfortable working independently and in collaboration with teammates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support International HR Planning team’s operating rhythm and support executive leadership workshops and contributes to yearly strategic planning activities
  • Assessing organizational and operational changes to ensure financial impacts are properly evaluated and incorporated into budget forecast and plan
  • Pull, compile, visualize, and analyze data from multiple sources to produce insights. Analyze and derive meaning from people-related data to help HR executives make informed data-driven decisions.
  • Fulfilling HR leaders’ ad-hoc data and analysis requests and other duties as assigned
  • Design and develop data insights presentations, dashboards and scorecards to share analysis of talent and program metrics and present findings to various stakeholders. Assist in the facilitation of feedback and action planning sessions to drive organizational improvements.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to issues and gaps discovered in data and reporting and work with relevant stakeholders to recommend and lead solutions
  • Work with Finance and HR stakeholders to drive yearly financial planning process. Support management of HR organizations’ financial budget, include financial data collection, consolidation, interpretation, and analysis to maintain cost against budget. Includes preparing regular and special-purpose reports
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Ability working in a global environment/multiple time zones
  • 3-5 years of work experience in HR analytics , financial analysis, and/or project management.
  • Experience leading HR projects with effective project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally in an organized and concise manner
  • Experience and understanding of general HR functional areas (such Compensation, Talent Management, Recruitment, HRIS)
  • Experience with Excel to visualize, manipulate, and analyze data (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.). Experience with Business Intelligence tools, e.g. Looker, Tableau, Prism Analytics is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to use a variety of approaches to collaborate with functional counterparts, include experience interacting with executive level leadership
  • Experience working with/familiarity with Workday preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $58,200- $99,200. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
