Half Asleep is seeking a motivated and experienced Sales and Business Development Representative to expand our brand presence in US stores. This is a remote position with a flexible schedule, and the compensation will be on a commission basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wholesale for a clothing brand, possess a network of industry contacts, and be passionate about sustainable fashion.
Responsibilities:
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to showcase Half Asleep's products and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale accounts, ensuring consistent communication and exceptional customer service.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Half Asleep's presence in US stores.
- Identify and target potential wholesale customers, including retailers, boutiques, and department stores, to establish new business relationships.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Collaborate with the design and product development teams to provide buyer feedback and insights for new product development.
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows and customer visits, if required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in wholesale sales for a clothing brand.
- Self-motivated, organized, and persistent with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- A strong network of industry contacts and an ability to leverage those connections to expand Half Asleep's customer base.
- A genuine belief in the Half Asleep brand and its mission to provide sustainable and comfortable sleepwear.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building successful business relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of current market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity within the sleepwear industry.
