Vp / Head Of Business Development - West Coast

Life Science People is collaborating with a global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that is currently on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Business Development professional join and lead their West Coast based team. The candidate must have experience selling Cell & Gene therapy based project for a CDMO in the past!

Primary duties:

• Creating and implementing strategic sales plans (short-term and long-term) to achieve the company's objectives in the assigned market.

• Identifying and evaluating business opportunities, formulating plans to seize opportunities, and resolving problems.

• Establishing contact with potential customers and partner companies (e.g., large pharma and key accounts), exploring business opportunities, and managing negotiations.

• Building and maintaining important business relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

• Managing logistics on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a preference for a Master's or PhD.

• Strong background in cell and gene therapy.

• 5+ years of experience in selling cell and gene therapy to pharma and biotech companies.

• Relevant business experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or CDMO is required.

• Expert negotiation skills with a preferred background knowledge.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, as needed.
