Role: Director, Project Development (East)
Location: Remote anywhere in the US
Compensation: $200-280k base salary + 20% bonus
Company
Our client are an established designer, developer, builder, and operator of utility scale solar, wind, energy storage and green hydrogen projects across the US. They have significant financial backing from a global FORTUNE 500 Firm and have several affiliations with other renewable businesses.
They have been running for over 5 years and in that time, have developed over 1GW of operational projects, as well as a 9GW+ pipeline.
Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Director, Project Development to help them continue to grow their Eastern portfolio, specifically targeting PJM, ISONE, NYISO and ERCOT markets. You will be responsible for strategic decision making, as well as the development of large utility scale projects from identification to NTP, including land negotiation, budgeting, permitting, community management and interconnection approval, as well as support on M&A opportunities when needed.
Skills/experience needed
· 5+ years utility scale renewable energy development experience (wind, solar or energy storage)
· Strong understanding of PJM, ISONE, NYISO and ERCOT markets are a big plus
· Minimum Bachelor's Degree required
