Job Description
Job Summary


Responsible for organic account growth and participation pitching and securing new business in state and local health agencies along with private sector healthcare entities. Identifies and drives business growth and market leadership. Leads business development initiatives across the system and aligns closely with the Solution and Delivery teams. Develops new business opportunities that are coordinated with the solution and delivery function that strengthen the market position of Ventech offerings. Directs responsibility for the qualification of opportunities, leading solutions team, and collaborating on the creation and delivery of proposals. Proposal development will be conducted in collaboration with organization leadership, the proposal team and other team members assigned to complete the proposals. Actively supports a consulting-based business development approach including development of targeted sales strategies and market research for penetration within target customers. Reviews the market position of competing offerings and organizations, and evaluates potential competitors, their marketing, and sales techniques. Develops, coordinates, and executes sales objectives, strategies, and advertising and promotional programs to gain market share.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Creates and enthusiastically articulates a growth strategy within assigned accounts and/or opportunities and grows a qualified pipeline that aligns to Ventech offerings and the strategic direction of Ventech, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the needs of the assigned accounts and/or opportunities.
  • Responsible for organic account growth and participation in pitching and securing new business in state and local health agencies along with private sector healthcare entities. Conducts product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and customer success to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Business development and operational planning to organize, craft, translate and communicate a plan into tactical goals and qualified pipeline. Create, organize, and execute business development programs and sales strategies that lead to new business.
  • Develops targeted sales strategies and market research for penetration in state and local health agencies along with private sector healthcare entities. Leverages existing networks and decision makers to win new business.


Minimum Education And Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field and more than 10 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry, preferably selling to state and local health agencies along with private sector healthcare entities or equivalent combination of experience and education.


Skills And Abilities


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, performance-based and outcomes driven.
  • Excellent rapport-building and communication skills.
  • Successful track record of leading individual activities, achieving sales targets, consulting-based sales; time management and prioritization skills, including demonstrated meeting management abilities; financial acumen; collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Well-developed knowledge and network of government agencies and industry partners as well as the overall healthcare industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge including SaaS, Care Management Platforms, information technology, Health Information Technology (HIT), Health Care Programs and policy.
  • Strong networking skills and connections with executives and decision makers in state and local health agencies along with private sector healthcare entities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health care financing, strategic planning, clinical integration, population health, policy, change management and performance excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives, and key clients.


Scope of Position


Individual Contributor - This position is an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides functional expertise through day-to-day work tasks. Works under the supervision of management.
