We are looking for a seasoned leader who would like to take PRIMO to the next level.
At PRIMO, we relate our success directly to the strength of our management team. To continue operating at our high standards, we’re seeking a Sales General Manager. This person should have experience in overseeing business operations, focusing on sales especially with freight forwarders, stakeholder management, market research, and partnerships development, as well as back-office functions (HR and finance mainly).
The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibility and collaborate across various departments. Ultimately, our new General Manager should be driven by a desire to lead our business to maximize productivity and efficiency. The Sales General Manager should mentor and assist first-line managers in achieving their goals and ensuring their teams are performing. The incumbent in this position is also expected to liaise with his/her colleagues across the organization for knowledge sharing and benchmarking of best practices.
Top tasks & responsibilities:
- Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
- Lead and support sales teams in the acquisition and retention of existing clients.
- Leverage current industry relations to grow the customer and carrier base in the US.
- Create a book of business.
- Mentor, develop, and recognize the US team talent, ensuring to have a healthy and top-performing organization.
- Identify optimization opportunities, continuous sales process improvement, and standardization.
- Responsible for complete P&L (Gross Margin, Revenue, OE, ROI, Daily Dashboard).
- Develop and manage suitable and relevant KPIs to ensure exponential growth.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
- Experience leading strategies for 3PL, 4PL, FFW, and NVOCC.
- An advanced level of English is required.
- Should have an entrepreneurial mindset and appetite to have a lot of fun
- Master´s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or similar.
- With a Master´s degree, at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s and a minimum of 13 years of experience.
- Experience as part of leadership teams.
- Must have experience in multinational companies.
- Experience as a Sales Director or VP in sales for logistics organizations.
- Experience designing and leading sales strategies in large-scale organizations.
- Spanish is an asset.
