Educational & Career Coach - Remote | Wfh

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Educational and Career Coach to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be committed to fostering academic success, supporting career development, and nurturing positive student outcomes.
Role Overview
You will collaborate closely with students, families, and the broader community to provide comprehensive support and guidance. Your responsibilities will include:
Student Support
Identify students' needs through assessments and data analysis, focusing on attendance, behavior, and academics.
Develop individualized student support plans and regularly monitor and adjust services to enhance their effectiveness.
Implement evidence-based services, such as Developmental Relationships and Attendance Works, to promote student success.
Serve as a positive role model, fostering asset-building among students and maintaining a supportive environment.
Conduct post-secondary success seminars, workshops, and programs for students and parents.
Collaborate with families to address academic barriers, coordinate health resources, and assist in critical needs.
Total Quality Standards (TQS)
Lead the needs assessment process, incorporating diverse data sources to drive improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute the annual School Support Plan, ensuring measurable objectives and sustained services for students.
Monitor and adjust services in line with the School Support Plan, reporting outcomes to school administration.
Foster a cooperative relationship with school staff, volunteers, and community partners to address wider student needs.
Partnership Development & Community Engagement
Cultivate relationships with school administration, staff, and external partners to deliver comprehensive student services.
Participate in site team meetings, school staff gatherings, and relevant student engagement activities.
Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations to enhance student outreach through events like career fairs and workshops.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of successful experience working with school-age children or in post-secondary education.
Knowledge of career assessments, college applications, financial aid, training programs, and community resources.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to solve problems collaboratively.
Self-motivation, organizational skills, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
Familiarity with local health and human service agencies and their offerings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and virtual meeting platforms.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule as needed.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. Close and distance vision abilities are necessary.
