Job Description
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in our healthcare team. You will be regionally aligned, serving as an expert in reimbursement, co-pay, foundation assistance, and patient assistance program (PAP) matters. Your primary responsibilities will include handling patient and healthcare provider interactions, advocating for patients, and ensuring their access to prescribed therapy. You will also serve as the direct point of contact for healthcare providers, establishing and nurturing relationships, and removing non-clinical barriers to access. Additionally, you'll liaise with various stakeholders and maintain records in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an advocate for patients, assisting with program enrollment, reimbursement processes, affordability support, and general access to prescribed therapies.
Act as a direct point of contact for assigned healthcare providers, providing comprehensive information about programs and patients.
Collaborate with prescribers and patients to eliminate non-clinical barriers to therapy access.
Demonstrate knowledge of different payer types, including private/commercial and government (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and DOD).
Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, becoming a trusted resource.
Follow program guidelines and escalate complex cases in line with program policies and procedures.
Serve as a liaison between Program Management, Healthcare Providers, and Manufacturers.
Provide exceptional customer service while representing our brand and program.
Understand and commit to achieving quality outcomes through resourceful use of resources.
Work closely with the Franchise Program Manager and Clients to ensure effective communication regarding patient status, prescriber feedback, and program effectiveness.
Enhance patient outcomes through advocacy, communication, education, and service facilitation.
Develop a deep understanding of patient health and disease states relevant to our programs.
Maintain the highest ethical standards regarding confidentiality and privacy.
Resolve conflicts effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Previous Medical Or Healthcare Experience Preferred.
Knowledge of the reimbursement process.
Experience in care coordination, patient access to care, and patient contact.
Experience Level: Entry Level
Salary: $ 16.00 20.00 Per Hour
